Coach Road Takes Shape

Our latest plot at Coach Road hs had extensive work done on it lately, here is a round up of all the cultivation:

In mid-October Mr Rew, the owner of Cooke’s & Blake’s Fields flailed all of the hedges and power harrowed the whole site.

This has made the whole field look much bigger and opened up the next step of clearance.

To that end on the 15th and 16th of October some of the prospective members from the Coach Road waiting list met for the first time, objective – surface litter clearance.

Over the weekend they removed large quantities of litter from the surface and just beneath. A four ton skip was filled and another has been ordered.

The next phase will be the marking out of the plots which will be done by Clive Burton and a couple of helpers. This will be followed by the laying of turf paths.

Following that a parking area will be gravelled, sheds erected and water connected, not necessarily in that order.

All in all the new plot is looking impressive and will certainly be a huge asset to the Association.
